The Day Laura was Born

April 14th 2008 10 AM

 

The girls brought flowers and branches into mommy’s room.

Leslie arrived with the snacks for mommy, the girls ate most of mommy’s snacks.

It was a lovely spring morning at our house, we called the midwife at 7:00 am.

Everyone was so happy that the baby was coming!

While mommy labored in the birth pool, daddy played music and the midwife read the Bible.

Anna climbed in the pool with mommy to rub her back.

Daddy was wearing funny pajamas all day!

Destiny read stories with the children, while the kids took turns visiting mommy.

Daddy hugged mommy and gave mommy the courage to push the baby out. Laura was born at 10 am.  Were we surprised to have a GIRL?  She’s beautiful.

Everyone gathered around mommy and the new baby in the hour after the birth.  Joy and peace has filled our house, and everyone thanks God for a healthy and sweet new baby.
